How to play the E chord on the guitar
The E chord, we’re going to use three fingers, to play the E chord. We’re going to start out with the first finger. And you’re going to place that on the third string. So, we’re going to count three strings: one, two, three. And we’re going to place that first finger right behind the first fret, of that third string. You need to hook it around. Then, we’re going to take the second finger, and bring it up to the fifth string. The fifth string is the second one down, so this is the sixth string, this is the fifth string. So, we’re going to take that second finger, going to that fifth string, behind the second fret, we’re going to hook that around, bring the hand out. Then, we’re going to take the third finger, and place it on the fourth string, counting from the bottom: one, two, three, four. So, to the fourth string, to the second fret, using the third finger, and again, you want to hook those around. And you will have an E chord, and it sounds like this.
