How to play a G chord
We’re going to start with the second finger. You’re going to place that on the sixth string. The sixth string is the closest one to you. And you’re going to take that second finger and put it on the third fret, you’re going to place it right behind the third fret, using the tip of your finger. Then, you’re going to take your first finger and place it on the fifth string, which is the second one down, right behind the second fret. So, the first finger, on the fifth string, right behind the second fret, and you will hook it around. Now, we’re going to take the third finger, and place it on the first string, the first string, away from you. On the first string, third fret, with the third finger, and you hook it around, you bring your hand out. You’re going to strum all six strings, right over the sound hole. And that is a G chord.
