How to play a D chord

We’re going to be using three finger: one, two and three. We’re going to start off with placing the first finger on the third string, behind the second fret. So, we’re going to count up three strings: one, two, three. So, here’s the third string and we’re going to place it behind the second fret with our first finger. And you’re going to hook it around right behind the fret. Then, we’re going to take finger number two, and place that on the first string. String number one, right behind the second fret, with the second finger and you’re going to hook that around. Then, we’re going to take finger number three, and place that on string number two: one, two; behind the third fret. And you’re going to hook that around, and you’re only going to strum four strings. And those four strings are: one, two, three and four.
