How to play hammer ons and pull offs with an E minor pentatonic scale
We’re going to start off by plucking the sixth string open, then going to the third fret of that sixth string with your finger and hammering it down using the tip of your finger, right behind that third fret. So again, plucking the sixth string open, and hammering down the third finger. On to the fifth string, plucking it open, hammering down the second finger on to the second fret, being forceful enough to produce a sound. On to the fourth string open, hammer on the second finger to the second fret. Playing the third string open, hammering the second finger to the second fret. On to the second string open, hammering the third finger down, on the third fret, to the open first string, then to the third fret, with your third finger, right behind the fret. Now, pull off, we’re going to pluck the third fret of the first string, then you’re going to pick-off that third finger and play it open. Now, we’re going to go to the third fret, of the second string, and pull it off. To the second fret of the third string, and then pull off. Then to the second fret of the fourth string, pull off. Second fret of the fifth string, pull off. And then to the third fret, of the sixth string, and pull off.
