How to play a blues shuffle for beginners

We’re going to take the first finger and put it on the fourth string, second fret. So, I count four strings, one, two, three, four and putting it on second fret, so here’s fret one, fret two, first finger, second fret fourth string. You’re going to strum strings four and five together, twice; so, one, two. Leaving the first finger planted, you’re going to take the third finger, and put it on the fourth fret, of the fourth string, and then strum that twice. Strumming the fourth and fifth string. Then you’re going to go back to the second fret, first finger, and then strum that twice. And then to the fourth fret, with the third finger, strumming that twice, and it should sound like this. Then, we’re going to take the first finger, and move it down to the third string, second fret, and we’re going to strum the third and fourth string together. Then leaving that first finger planted, you’re going to take the third finger, and put it on the fourth fret of the third string. And you’re going to strum the third and fourth string together. And then you’re going to go back to the first finger, second fret of the third string, and strum that twice, strumming the third and fourth string. Then, going back to the third finger, on the fourth fret, of the third string. Now, we want to keep the fingers planted and strum that twice. We’re going to go back and forth on that, first finger, the third finger, and then shuffle.
